This program introduces agents to the issues related to helping clients purchase residential real estate as investment properties. Beth Mitchell will go over the many ways to take title: individually, as joint tenancy or tenants in common, in trust, Family Limited Partnerships, Corporations, LLCs, etc. This course will also discuss the different options for protecting rental properties and briefly review deeds. Advantages and disadvantages of the different types of ownership will be discussed. This course, which is approved for two hours of CE credit for real estate brokers, is a realistic discussion of how to title and protect rental properties.
