Sara’s Top Charity Picks

Many people who do their estate planning through Ambler Keenan Mitchell Johnson address charities in their estate planning documents. We welcome suggestions of your favorite charities, and we hope these inspirational stories will make an impact in your life as well. This week we have a few of Sara’s favorite organizations to introduce. Sara is a Legal Assistant at Ambler Keenan Mitchell Johnson. Canine Partners of the Rockies This organization strives to help Colorado residents who have disabilities by using highly trained service dogs. These dogs provide therapy and assist those with mobility limiting conditions. Canine Partners of the Rockies educated the public about how these service dogs can be a positive influence in the lives of disabled Coloradans. They also have many volunteers who are “Puppy Raisers”. They assist in the dog’s training and welfare until they are ready to graduate. To contact the Canine Partners of the Rockies, or to make a donation or raise a puppy, visit their website at www.caninepartnersoftherockies.org. Saddleup! Foundation Horses can be life-changing friends. At Saddleup! Foundation, horses are used as a form of therapy for mentally, physically, and emotionally challenged individuals. This organization provides services for adults and children in the scope of physical, occupational, and speech therapies, equine facilitated activities, and equine facilitated psychotherapy. If you have questions for Saddleup! Foundation, or to donate, visit their website at www.saddleupfoundation.org Wounded Warrior Project This organization was created to assist in educating the public and enlist their help with the needs of injured service members. Their goal is to have successful, well-adjusted wounded service members contribute to society upon their return. The Wounded Warrior project honors and empowers wounded warriors. They offer support, mentors, and recovery programs to the injured men and women. The opportunities they provide are endless! For more information on Wounded Warrior Project, or to donate or volunteer, visit their website at www.woundedwarriorproject.org project.org. We look forward to bringing information on more wonderful charities to you soon. If you have a recommendation, please email it to Lindsey@ambler-keenan.com
