Ambler Keenan Mitchell Johnson Charity Spotlight! Beth’s Favorites

It is finally here! The first of many more great charity highlights to come. We will introduce favorite charities around Colorado and the United States. Many people who do their estate planning through Ambler Keenan Mitchell Johnson address charities in their estate planning documents. We welcome suggestions of your favorite charities, and we hope these inspirational stories will make an impact in your life as well.   This week we have a few of Beth Mitchell’s favorite organizations to introduce. Beth Mitchell is an attorney at Ambler Keenan Mitchell Johnson. Read more about Elizabeth D. Mitchell here.   Dominican Sisters Home Health Agency   This amazing mission began in 1923 in the Denver area. The Sisters provide FREE in-home health care, loans for medical equipment, and community-based nursing care to the poor, sick, and elderly who don’t necessarily have insurance coverage or resources to provide this on their own. This enables them to live healthy, independent lives and stay in their homes longer.   The Alliance of Professional Women   Going on 25 years, the Alliance of Professional Women has been facilitating professional women to explore business opportunities, learn from other professional women, and network throughout their communities. In addition to this, the Alliance Foundation supports programs throughout the world that give women and girls the opportunity to improve their lives by achieving self-sufficiency and financial independence. They also offer scholarships to women who attend local colleges and universities to further reach the goals of self-sufficiency and independence.   If you have questions for The Alliance of Professional Women, or to donate, visit their website at www.apwcolorado.org   Bessie’s Hope:   This organization lessens the generational gap between seniors and youth. The volunteers nurture the relationship building among the elders who feel forgotten and the “at risk” youth who need guidance. Building this relationship brings a sense of value and respect for both generations. Bessie's Hope also strives to help make senior's dreams come true. Another aspect to this organization are the families, schools, and companies they work with the bridge the gap between the seniors in nursing homes and the love of the community.   For more information on Bessie’s Hope, or to make a donation, visit their website at www.bessieshope.org     We look forward to bringing information on more wonderful charities to you soon. If you have a recommendation please email it to Lindsey@ambler-keenan.com
